“Envisioning Diné Bikeyah for Our Families 102 Years From Now”

Call for Essays, Art, Photos and Video Submissions

$400 Stipend

Deadline May 10. 2023

Selected submissions will receive a $400 stipend and be showcased online, in a booklet, and at the “Áłchíní bizaad íílí-Envisioning the Navajo Nation 102 Years from Now” youth and families forum on July 26-27, 2023 at the Navajo Nation Museum, Window Rock.

Submission Guidelines

ELIGIBILITY

Must reside on the Navajo Nation. Parents and guardians may submit on behalf of their children. 

HOW TO SUBMIT

Just fill out the form on this page, attach files and hit SEND. If you do not have internet access, please contact Tyler and Elvira. 

ESSAYS

Keep to 6 single-space typed pages or less. Please include intergenerational sharing. 

ARTWORK

May be one artwork or a set of artwork and please include a written description. Send uploaded images only. If selected, we will arrange for your originals to be sent. Please include intergenerational sharing.

PHOTOS

May be one photo or a set of photos and please include a written description. Please include intergenerational sharing.

VIDEOS

Any format especially homemade videos are welcome. If too difficult, no need to make titles. We will help you make titles if you are selected. Please keep videos under 20 minutes. Please include intergenerational sharing.

Our server accepts uploads of 500MB or less, which is very large.  If your video submission is larger than that, please email or text us.

$100 Travel Stipend to July 26-27, 2023 Forum

Those selected will be invited to attend the families and youth summit which will take place on July 26-27, 2023 at the Navajo Nation Museum in Window Rock. Each selectee will receive a $100 travel stipend upon attendance. Lodging will also be given, subject to availability.
